A Modest Proposal?

Following up on Comoprozac’s idea earlier this week: that could be interesting, you know, like a limited edition rap star concept-album version of the 33 1/3 book series. To wit:

Jay-Z on Michael Jordan
DMX on Michael Vick

Kanye West on Shani Davis
Cam’ron on Dennis Rodman
LL Cool J on Sugar Ray Leonard
Ma$e on Ricky Williams
50 Cent on Terrell Owens (or Charles Barkley or Mike Tyson?)
Eminem on Tiger Woods

Ghostface Killah on Ray Lewis
P. Diddy on Barry Bonds

Feel free to add on to/expand the list (or tell me why I’m wrong).

UPDATE: Oh, come on! Anybody?!?

I'd like Mos Def to do something on those runners from the Mexico City games that raised their gloved fists in protest. Also, DMX would be a more appropriate pairing with Mike Vick.

I think you're totally right about DMX/Mike Vick, and I'm going to change the post to reflect that. I'd be able to come up with more if I knew more about sports!

Who should The Bus get paired up with?

The Bus and Biggie (RIP). You know how they're always bringing MC's back from the dead.

I'd like Missy Elliot on Vick. They're both from the Seven Cities, and she could drop plenty of "bitch" references.

compr, who would you pair tupac up with?

hahaha khate i like that idea! plus missy? could get a bunch of dog-barking/tazer-gun/cheering crowd samples to make weird beats.

Canibus on He Hate Me, anyone?
Dr. Dre on Dr. J
("ooo, RE-jected!" "no play for mr. grey!" ok, ok...)
